Two illustrations in answer to a hijab ban

In Udupi, Karnataka, Muslim students were barred from college for wearing hijabs. The state argued the hijab was not an "essential religious practice."

I made two illustrations to challenge that claim. One drew visual parallels between Hindu and Muslim clothing traditions.
